I grew up on an acreage, outside of Calgary. As a youth I enjoyed being outdoors and participated in many sports such as competitive horseback riding in both Western and English, and also trained young horses. Currently I’m enjoying just riding for fun. Swimming has always been a big part of my life, as a youth I was a competitive swimmer, then progressed to becoming an instructor, lifeguard, and then to play waterpolo. Prior to attending Mount Royal to complete my Massage Therapy Diploma, I was a Red Seal Journeyman Glazier and worked on many buildings in and around Calgary. The experience of working within the trades has helped me treat a wide variety of clients, as I understand the effects and stressors that manual labor has on the body. My sports background’s not only helps me to understand sport-related injury, but helps me when performing assessments and with treating sports injuries. I currently am a member of the Canadian Pro Rodeo Sports Medicine Team and work with Pro Rodeo and PBR(Professional Bull Riding) athletes during events and after. My skillset includes the ability to treat a wide variety of conditions. I am able to provide treatment which can range from a therapeutic (including deep tissue, cupping massage) to a relaxation massage. When not at work, I enjoy spending time with family, friends, animals and working with my horses.
